I’m as frustrated as my clients about how traditional legal practice tries (and fails) to meet the needs of clients in a modern, fast-paced, and tech-centered environment. I aim to change the way that lawyers provide legal services and develop deep relationships with clients that allow me to be genuinely helpful!
I support businesses – mostly tech scale-ups and busy in-house legal teams – with their growth and development by providing commercially focused risk management services. Those services are timely, commercial, easy to understand, and priced to reflect the value to my clients. My day-to-day involves advising on, negotiating, and drafting plain-language and user-friendly contracts including SaaS Agreements, Service Agreements, Licence Agreements, retail and commercial leases, IP Licence and Assignment Deeds, and pretty much any other contract that businesses come across
It took me a while to find my feet in the law. I have worked in a wide range of practice areas including commercial litigation and dispute resolution, competition law, consumer protection, residential conveyancing, wills and estates, and family law. I realised that my issue with these areas were not the areas of law themselves, but rather the issues and challenges inherent in traditional law firms. However this broad background allows me to provide holistic and commercial advice for my clients.
Outside of work, I spend my time traveling (a lot!) and running around after my fur-babies, Sam and Pepper.
